Down Under Dive Club
Welcome to the Down under dive Club where we try to bring divers and water together with the maximum of ease. For a minimal out lay there are huge benefits to club members including cheap air fills, discounts at Orakei Dive Shop of course the monthly club newsletters. The dive club also offers an avenue for new divers to meet other divers and potential new buddies, as well as share in an extensive knowledge base from more experienced divers. Club meetings: Held on a somewhat irregular basis. Club meetings range from recompression chamber trips to meetings with guest speakers and BBQ's at the beach.
Club trips: Over summer we run trips every weekend, during winter this slows to about two out of every three weekends. Almost all of our trips run on a sole charter basis which means we charter the whole boat. This ensures the boat is full of only our divers and friends. Every trip is lead by one of our own instructors or masters, which means we have more control on dive sites and trip organization. On most trips we stop at several sites, this will guarantee that every diver on board will get the opportunity to dive a site that is best suited to their skill level. If you don't have a dive buddy we will find one for you or you may feel more confident diving with the trip leader. Newsletter: This is posted out each month, it will give you information on what's happening in the shop as well as an up to date trip list.

the cost is?
ZERO we email you the club newsletter. You will need to email us at club@orakeidive.co.nz to get on the list. Your email address will not be passed on to anyone (yeah right).
Hire gear: This is subject to availability, we recommend that you book as far in advance as possible, ie, when booking on to a trip. If you book gear and then change your mind there is no charge, but please let us know. Refunds will be given on gear if it was to be used on one of our charters and we had to cancel it. Sorry no other refunds will be given if the gear is returned unused as we may have been able to hire it to someone else.
