PADI Advanced Course

The Advanced is great for widening your skill and knowledge base as a diver or excellent for those of you who still don't feel 100% confident in diving without the supervision of an instructor. This course will give you the opportunity to gain that much needed confidence as well as being a whole lot of fun. It is also a useful course for those of you who wish to expand your dive repertoire to include diving in deep water, on wrecks night diving, navigational diving or search and recovery This allows you greater access to some awesome dive sites both in New Zealand and overseas such as the Rainbow Warrior, the Ellingamite, Northern Arch, President Coolidge, Titanic etc. The advanced course also offers you the great advantage of being the next steppingstone towards a potential career in diving. From advanced certification you can progress on to your rescue divers, dive masters, and even as far as your instructors certification as well as many other specialty dive courses. All of these are great qualifications to have for those of you who may wish to travel and work in some fairly exotic locations, or expand your employment potential in New Zealand. Unlike your PADI Open Water Course, you can obtain certification as an Advanced Diver in one week, this allows you to keep your time investment minimal. The course involves one evening in the classroom where you will discuss the requirements for the weekend and learn the theory involved in the dives you will undertake.

The second part of the course is a weekend away. Locations for this may vary but at present we are running them at the Alderman Islands off Tairua at Coromandal and the Poor Knights. Your Course Includes: Five dives including, deep, navigation and search and recovery. The price of the course also includes your Adventure diving manual and certification as an Advanced Open Water Diver. If you completed your openwater course outside N.Z. you will need to get a dive medical signed by a doctor.

Your Course Does Not Include: Transport (we car pool), dive equipment for the weekend (we can hire you dive equipment inc. wetsuit and weight belt - two days hire for the price of one). Rental if needed will be $70 including tanks.
